FAQ
-
How do I figure out my sizes?
- If you are ordering a standard, ready-to-ship set of nails: 20 nails in all sizes (0-9) will be sent to you.
- If you are ordering a custom set of nails: all new clients will receive a free sizing kit in advance of production. Sizes stay on file for all future orders.
-
How do I apply my press-on nails?
- Ensure any previously applied product on your nails is removed.
- Wash and dry your hands thoroughly.
- Push back your cuticles with the orange wood stick/cuticle pusher provided in your nail kit.
- Gently buff your nail beds and remove any 'shine'.
- Use the alcohol prep to clean the surface of each nail and remove any dust or debris.
- Lay out your nail set. Place each press-on on top of its desired nail bed to determine if the size is correct. Your press-on should cover the entire nail bed from side to side.
- Apply a small amount of glue to your entire nail bed and distribute evenly.
- Align your press-on to your cuticle and press down hard for 30 seconds or more. Repeat this process for the rest of your nails.
-
How do I remove my press-on nails?
- Apply cuticle oil (or olive oil) to your cuticles (this step is optional).
- Submerge your fingers in a bowl of warm, soapy water for 20-30 minutes (the warmer, the better). Dish soap works best.
- Gently lift your press-ons from side to side (NOT from top to bottom). If they do not come off easily, do not rip them off. Repeat the soaking process with a fresh bowl of warm and soapy water.
- If you're experiencing any trouble with lift, wedge some dental floss between your natural nail and press-on at the base and pull upward to release the press-on.
-
Are the nails reusable?
- Yes! The length of your set is dependent on wear and tear (and care). Here is a bit of info on how to reuse your nails best:
- When removing your press-ons, be sure NOT to soak them in acetone, as this will ruin your nail design. Instead, follow the steps indicated above for safe press-on removal.
- Lightly dip a cotton swab in 100% acetone and rub the underside of your press-on to remove any residual glue/gunk. Be sure not to transfer any acetone to the top of your press-on.
- Wipe dry and store away for future use in original packaging.
