FAQ
Questions? We have answers. Here's everything you need to know before you press on.
STUDIO AOKO creates press-on nails as wearable art — sculptural, editorial designs that feel closer to art-fashion pieces than traditional beauty services.
Chosen by artists, stylists, and creatives, STUDIO AOKO press-ons are worn as defining pieces that shape an artist’s visual identity. Featured in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, InStyle, and other leading cultural platforms, the brand sits within a high-fashion visual language.
Each set is hand-crafted with a focus on what matters most: form, finish, and durability.
Compared to salon gels, press-ons offer a lower exposure alternative with no UV/LED curing and a significantly faster application time, eliminating salon appointments and wait times while still delivering a polished result.
Standard (ready-to-ship) sets: Ready-to-ship sets include 20 nails in sizes 0–9 (two of each), which covers the full standard size range used for press-ons. Since most people’s nail beds fall somewhere within that spectrum, and often vary slightly from hand to hand, having every size means you can mix and match to find your best fit. That’s why they work well if you’re unsure of your sizes or buying a gift set: the wearer can try on each size and choose the ones that fit each finger comfortably, without needing custom measurements upfront.
Custom sets: All new clients receive a free sizing kit before production. Your sizes are saved for future orders.
